Patrick Bowen

Patrick Bowen, Ph.D., is the author of the two-volume work, The History of Conversion to Islam in America. We have had two interviews with Dr. Bowen. He has shared many insights on Muslims in the heartland and narratives of Muslim identity as forged in the concept of “Hijra” or migration. The highway system was of major importance to the development of Islam in America and Dr. Bowen has helped us connect these points into the narrative.
